Another name for God’s transforming power in his Spirit is the Glory of God. Whenever God’s Glory—the power and beauty and eternity of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ—becomes manifested in our world and lives, it is not in order to destroy, supplant, and discard but in order to purify, transform, and vivify.
